Veterans’ Lived Experiences Series – Living with PTSD & TBI

Living with PTSD & TBI:
Symptoms, Experiences, and Resources
Recent military conflicts have been associated with high levels of both post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). These two conditions have overlapping symptoms and can be experienced simultaneously, which sometimes makes it difficult to distinguish between them. In this webinar, Dr. Keith Renshaw, a licensed psychologist and Professor of Psychology at George Mason University, will review common symptoms of both, with a particular emphasis on military-specific experiences. A US Marine Corps retired Captain will discuss his own personal experiences with these conditions, after which resources for veterans will be presented. The fireside chat will conclude with a Q&A from attendees.
